I am so excited to share with you that I’ve just finished revisions to the next book in the Mah Jongg Mystery series, Book 12, The Perfect Pair. It’s now off to my editor with publication anticipated sometime in September.
Once again, the Formero Investigations team consult with the sheriff’s office to find a murderer. But this time they’re up against the clock, because Kat and Rick’s wedding is three days off.
Will they be able to discover the killer in time? And if they can’t, what then? Kat takes the lead in this one.
This book turned out to be a little longer than its predecessors because I added several chapters describing the wedding day. I did this for you readers who’ve read through the series. The love story between Katrina Faulkner and Rick Formero started in Book 1, Craks in a Marriage. And has progressed through each successive book.
Here’s the bridal gown I showed you in my last blog. This time Kat is accompanied by her three mah jongg pals who now serve as her bridesmaids. Kat’s colors, which are the same as mine some 50-plus years ago, are periwinkle blue and lavender. On the left, Sydney Bonner wears a periwinkle blue silk cocktail suit. Next to her, Marianne Putnam, wears a lavender chiffon mid-length cocktail dress. And on the right is Micki Demetrius in a satin navy strapless, floor-length gown with bolero.
Thanks to ChapGPT for helping me envision these creations once I described what I had in mind. (Disregard Syd’s silver streak, which belongs to Micki. I couldn’t edit it out. Next, I’ll show you Marianne’s real dress. It didn’t make it into this group photo.)
